Barcelona Festivals and concerts August 2013

15th to 21st August 2013 Festa de Gracia – Gracia Festival neighbourhood street festival. 17 streets in Gracia are decorated by their residents and there is a full programme of live music concerts and activities for families and kids.

14th to 18th August 2013. Barcelona´s oldest festival in the gothic area of Barcelona called “Festes de Sant Roc de la Plaça Nova”

All August:  MASiMAS Festival –  annual series of concerts in August at various Barcelona clubs and concert venues

All August:  “Musica als Parcs” – series of free open air jazz and classical concerts throughout the month of August in some of Barcelona’s nicest parks.

Selected dates August:  “Nits d’estiu a La Pedrera”  series of summer jazz concerts on roof of Casa Mila also called “La Pedrera de nit”

Selected dates in August: Noches Mágicas en la Terraza de Casa Batlló. Series of evening concerts on the Casa Batllo modernist courtyard terrace from Tuesday to Sunday.

Various dates in August. Gamper Cup 2013 on Friday 2nd August.  Tickets Gamper Cup. See the Barça’s stars and the new Barca stars like Neymar at Camp Nou stadium for the traditional Joan Gamper Trophy. Barca welcomes on top Brazilian team Santos for a friendly pre-season game. The first league game at Camp Nou is FCB v Levante in mid-August. At the end of August 2013 Barca play At Madrid in the second leg of the first title of the season, the Spanish SuperCup 2013.

Barcelona “Cinema al Fresco” outdoor cinema August
The Sala Montjuic open air movie season in the moat of Montjuic Castle comes to a close at the beginning of August, but the ourdoor short film festival Mecal Air in on all August at Poble Espanyol also on Montjuic hill in Barcelona screening short films with a bar and barbeque. For full length feature movies visit the CCCB museum who organise Gandules 2013 – a series of free open air movies in the CCCB courtyard in August.
